Inconel nickel-chromium alloy 625 (UNSN06625/W.Nr. 2.4856) is a solid solution strengthening alloy, widely used for its high strength, excellent fabricability (including joining), and out-standing pitting resistance and crevice resistance. Service temperatures range from cryogenic to 982ºC (1800F).It has excellent corrosion resistance to various corrosive media in the oxidation and reduction environment, and will not produce stress corrosion cracking caused by chloride, excellent corrosion resistance to inorganic acids, such as, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and mixed acid of sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, etc., excellent resistance to corrosion of various inorganic acid mixed solutions. Good processability and weldability, no post-weld cracking susceptibility.
